Glasgow florists, by part of the city
Thirty shops across seven corners of Glasgow. On most errands the right question is not which florist is best, it is which good one is nearest to where the flowers have to arrive. Start here.
Read this first: it is all opinion
Every judgement on this site is personal opinion. One flower-obsessed Glaswegian’s subjective read on thirty shops, written up like a notebook. The opinions are not those of the owner of this domain, who commissioned the research but takes no view on any florist named here and endorses none of them.
Nothing here is a statement of fact about any business. The assessments are built from publicly available information: the florists’ own websites, their published hours, service lists and prices, business directories, and reviews other customers have left in public. No shop paid to appear, and none was shown its entry in advance. See exactly what gets measured or read the full disclaimer.
Pick a part of the city
10 florists
West End
The densest concentration of florists in Scotland, and the most competitive. Great Western Road alone supports several at once, which keeps standards unusually high and prices honest.
Top of the list here: Wildthings, Rose n' Thyme, Blooms and 7 more.
3 florists
North West
Anniesland, Jordanhill and Broomhill: big residential catchments, easy parking, and shops that live or die on repeat local custom rather than passing trade.
Top of the list here: Belle Fiori, Bill & Bens, Petals.
5 florists
City Centre
Shops shaped by offices, hotels, stations and hospitals. Expect strong weekday trade, formal arrangements, and the best value in the city inside the Savoy Centre.
Top of the list here: Flowers by Suzy Liu, Lillians, Jade Florist and 2 more.
6 florists
East End
Dennistoun, Tollcross and Shettleston support more independent florists per mile than the guidebooks would ever guess. Largely because this is where a lot of the city's sympathy and hospital flowers are bought.
Top of the list here: Sprigs & Twigs, Florresters, Flower Fusion and 3 more.
4 florists
Southside
The most design-led part of Glasgow floristry outside the West End, and the part that has changed fastest. Pollokshields and Strathbungo in particular are worth a dedicated trip.
Top of the list here: Floral Haven, GRASS Creative Floristry, Stalks & Stems of Glasgow and 1 more.
1 florist
South West
Govan and Paisley Road West. Under-served by citywide delivery brands, which makes the local shops that much more valuable.
Top of the list here: Nolans Bazaar.
1 florist
Citywide
No shopfront at all. Studio florists who exist entirely through delivery, ordering online and the occasional pop-up.
Top of the list here: MUD Urban Flowers.
Or skip the geography
If you would rather compare on quality than on distance, the full ranking of all thirty is filterable by area too. And if you are ordering for delivery rather than collection, the part of town matters less than the shop's cut-off time, which the buying guide covers.
