The part of the city delivery brands forget
Govan, Ibrox, Cessnock and Paisley Road West are far enough from the centre that a same-day promise made by a West End shop starts to wobble, and far enough from the fashionable map that the round-ups skip them entirely. Both facts make the local florist more valuable here than almost anywhere else in Glasgow.
Nolans Bazaar on Govan Road is the shop this district names without hesitating. What comes up again and again in what customers write about it is not design flair but reliability. Deliveries that arrive when they said they would, arrangements better than the price implies, and staff who are friendly rather than transactional. In a district that has been written off and rediscovered several times over, that consistency is the story.
Getting around
Govan subway and the interchange beside it put this within fifteen minutes of the city centre, and unlike most of this list, parking is genuinely straightforward.
