The verdict

MUD was founded in 2017 and describes itself as a modern take on floristry that is anything but ordinary. Strip the marketing and what is left is a genuinely different model from every shop above: no counter, no walk-in trade, a studio operation built entirely around ordering online and delivering well. It works because the constraint forces discipline. A tight range of signature bouquets, consistently executed, rather than an infinite menu.

The signature styles carry names. Golden Hour, Cloud Nine, Hygge Lush. Alongside bespoke options, dried arrangements, candles, gift boxes and gift cards. Fresh blooms are handpicked from the market on the day of delivery, and delivery reaches Glasgow, Edinburgh, Lanarkshire, Paisley, Stirling and UK mainland next-day on orders placed by 2pm. Fresh bouquets start from £30, bespoke work runs roughly £85 to £200, and subscriptions begin at £180. Wedding design and wreath and flower workshops complete the offer.

Best for

Gifting from a distance; anyone who wants the unboxing to be part of the present; subscriptions.

What I would order

One of the named signature bouquets rather than a bespoke build. The signatures are where the house style is sharpest.

Worth knowing

There is no shop to visit, so you cannot inspect before buying. The 2pm cut-off governs next-day delivery.

The only florist here whose bouquets have names you will remember.

Who it is not for

Anyone who wants to see the flowers first, buy something small, or support a shopfront on their own street.

How it compares

For a real shop with a comparable eye, Barvas & James is the one to walk into instead.

Getting there

Delivery-only across Glasgow and central Scotland, with occasional pop-ups in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
